Why iamsingle.co exists.
We built iamsingle.co because we believe the best relationships start not with a swipe, but with a shared experience.

Born from real frustration.
The idea for iamsingle.co came from a simple, universal frustration: urban Indian singles are exhausted by dating apps. Not because they don't want to meet people — but because the apps have made it harder, not easier.
Swipe fatigue is real. A 2024 Tinder study found that 91% of men and 94% of women agree dating has become more difficult. Dating app downloads in India dropped 20–25% between 2022 and 2023. Young Indians aren't giving up on finding connection — they're giving up on the medium.
Meanwhile, the IRL events movement is growing globally. Thursday, a global IRL dating brand, now operates in 85+ cities. Eventbrite has seen over 1.5 million searches for singles events. Young Indians are already rewriting the rules of romance through hobby groups, meetups, and social gatherings — as covered by BBC News India in December 2025.
India needed a platform purpose-built for this shift. iamsingle.co is that platform.
Building India's IRL singles community.
Our vision is to build a thriving, city-by-city network of real-world singles events across India — where urban professionals can meet, connect, and find their people through shared experiences rather than shared selfies.
